What I've learned about ideas

  • Ideas are not the same as inspiration. Ideas can come from inspiration, but they are not the same thing.
  • Ideas come from personal experience.
  • If you can’t find anything up there in your head for ideas, there probably isn’t anything to find.
  • If an idea is really important, you won’t forget it.
  • If you’re looking for inspiration to get ideas, don’t be surprised if it takes some effort.
  • You have to go out and find things that might lead you to new ideas. For example, looking for inspiration.
  • Take a walk, go do something, but don’t try to look for an idea.
  • Ideas aren’t found, they are made from experiences, feelings, and wandering thoughts that mutate and combine.
  • In short, ideas come from doing things.
