Documenting the process of creating your project
Writing about your journey and the process behind your project as you make it really is a great thing.
Yesterday (that would be the 14th for those of you who have read my previous posts), I was reading the series of posts I had written on creating and launching Velocity Lapse. It was so nice to look back and get a good idea of the struggles and breakthroughs of the slow but sure progress towards what the app is today.
Essentially I had #builtitinpublic, and I’m glad I did. It’s probably one of the best decisions I could have made being new to launching an app.
During the process, it made me reflect on what was working and what was not. Now, it serves as a nice history and a reminder of what I’ve learned through the process.
So, I can wholeheartedly recommend documenting the process of creating your project. It’s not only beneficial for you, but for others too. It can also serve as free publicity, because people will naturally get interested in your project as a result of seeing you make it.
Document the process. I think you’ll be really glad you did. :)
