Are we too busy sometimes?

I find myself having to remind myself of the big picture.

What you’re becoming is more important than what you’re doing right now.

Life is a journey, not a destination. Yahweh, our Heavenly Father, puts us through the day-to-day doings to mold and sculpt us into the people He wants us to become. It can be easy to rush through the days just trying to get stuff done. But that’s just going through the motions.

As a man especially, there is the temptation to make work and/or things an idol. We should work and gather resources for our families and for building Yahweh’s kingdom, not to glorify ourselves and build our own kingdom.

Yahweh wants us to be. He wants us to slow down and see what is really important in life.

I need to not be too busy for the things that matter. My relationship with Yahweh and others is what matters. Most everything else is either a tool that can be used for that purpose, or a distraction.
