'Feeding the monster?'

So, yesterday (that’s the 18th for those of you who have read my previous posts and are paying attention :)) I created an Instagram account for my artwork. I’d like to share the processes of creating artwork and connect with other artists.

I do have the Velocity Lapse Instagram account which I try to keep alive with my rather sporadic posts, but that’s the extent of my “Instagram presence” thus far.

It always feels a bit like “feeding the monster” posting on social media (particularly Instagram and Facebook) because I’d much rather that people go out and do stuff and talk to people than scroll through their feed. :)

And yet, I can see there is a time and a place for it, as long as it is genuinely informative/helpful and not sensational nonsense.

So, my goal with my art Instagram account is to hopefully “feed the monster” less and genuinely connect with people more.
